The difference between LED and OLED

The principle of light emission of LED and OLED is the same, except that the material used is different. The metal material used for LED is used, and the organic material is used for OLED.
OLED does not need a backlight, it will emit light by itself, it is composed of LED array. The brightness is higher than LED liquid crystal, and the thickness is thinner. It is a substitute for LED LCD screen in the future. LED LCD screen needs backlight, brightness is general, in daylight It is ugly and clear. But it is currently widely used.
The LED display is a display device composed of an array of light emitting diodes. It adopts low-voltage scanning drive, which has the characteristics of low power consumption, long service life, low cost, high brightness, less failure, large viewing angle and long visible distance.
OLED: The organic light-emitting display, which is a newly emerging type on the mobile phone LCD, is known as the "dream display." Unlike traditional LCD displays, OLED display technology eliminates the need for backlights and uses very thin organic coatings and glass substrates that illuminate when current is passed through. Moreover, the OLED display screen can be made lighter and thinner, has a larger viewing angle, and can significantly save power. However, although OLEDs with better technology will replace LCDs such as TFT in the future, organic light-emitting display technologies have shortcomings such as short lifetime and large screen size.
